Job Description
The Freelance Associate Producer will work with the Fox Nation long-form team to produce exclusive streaming documentaries, specials, and investigative, historic programming. They will collaborate with a small team on multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, and assist with other production tasks like live events and town hall programming.
- Researching stories, writing scripts, coordinating field shoots, finding archival video, managing rights and clearances
- Pitching story ideas and writing scripts
- Booking guests and conducting interviews
- Working with field crews for interviews and additional footage
- Collaborating with editors to complete programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of writing and producing experience at a news organization, production company, or documentary film company
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work in a team and think creatively
- Strong knowledge of current events and historical events
