Job Description

WC+A is looking for a freelance Video Editor to assist our dedicated and efficient Motion and Editorial team. This editor will edit a variety of video content, including promotions, trailers, brand spots, and more. This is a fully remote freelance position that will start off with a 1-week assignment.

• Lead the editorial process for all assigned video projects from inception to final asset delivery
• Edit a variety of video content, including promotions, trailers, brand spots, and more
• Design and generate client assets ensuring they are strategically sound, brand appropriate, and aligned with the client’s overall creative approach and strategy
• Collaborate with internal team on additional asset development or sourcing, including motion graphics
• Evaluate the look and feel of assets used in client campaigns and properties and provide feedback when requested
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Producers, and stakeholders to ensure our videos meet compliance, regulatory, and legal requirements
• Contribute to the strategic vision of the projects by providing insights into industry trends, innovative editing techniques, and potential creative opportunities
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Video Editor
• Strong online portfolio showing your range of skills
• Expert knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of audio editing software, including but not limited to Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or Logic Pro
• Expertise in color correction and grading using tools like DaVinci Resolve or Adobe SpeedGrade
• Familiarity with collaborative editing tools and workflows, such as Frame.io, for streamlined communication and project management
• Knowledge of file naming conventions, metadata tagging, and project organization best practices
• Extremely comfortable with the Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Meet, etc.)

Compensation Expectations:

The starting base compensation range for this position in the selected city is $35-$65 hourly. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s certifications, location, prior experience, and qualifications.
