876 Skillz is a reggae artist out of New York City. To know who 876 SKillz is and where he wants to go, here’s a bit of where he comes from. He was born in 1985 in Kingston Jamaica, Skillz has always been surrounded and influenced by music as he grew up. In 1999 he migrated to the U.S.A from Jamaica. At the age of fourteen 876 Skillz made the decision of taking music as a full time job and he went on to pursue his dreams of becoming a Reggae Artist. 876 Skillz is an artist that writes and sings his own lyrics.
In 2003, 876 Skillz recorded his first single titled “Girls Plenty” on the Mixx Breed riddim featuring veteran reggae artist (D.J) Major Mackrell, the track was recorded at a foundation studio based in Brooklyn New York (E2 Recordings) and also engineered and mixed by Ed Robinson (known for his hit single “Knocking on Heavens Door” a remake of Bob Dylan). 876 Skillz’s single “Girls Plenty” was produced by Village Entertainment and released on 45” vinyl records.
876 Skillz has performed with several major reggae artists like Major Mackrell, Barrington Levy, Mad Cobra, Ed Robinson, Nardo Ranks, Bounty Killer, I-Sasha, Ricky Blaze, Jewel Santana, and Assassin. 876 Skillz is an extremely energetic performer and he knows how to leave his audience satisfied but still wanting more.
