My music is not conceptual like Pink Floyd or Radiohead. I feel that the modern man is so overwhelmed by the intellectual onslaught of Science that there has to be an escape from the cold jaws of mere facts and logic - that relief he finds in Art - and thus Art has to be stirring his spirit, melting his heart, provoking his thought to a totally different dimension of existence. If there is no soul in it, no matter how technically profound and sound it is, is not qualified to be labelled as a great piece of art. Thus my music is more like U2 in which the artist creates something moving as an inevitable consequence of the instinctive need of human expression. Thus melody and lyrics are the two forces that decides the potency of the song. For your information, I am a published poet in English - thus writing verses comes natural to me. The biggest inspiration behind my tracks is neither a life experience nor any specific artists but the beauty of music itself. The amalgamation of coherent layers of sounds capture my entire being unlike any other entity on earth. I grew up listening to wonderful artists like Junoon, Vital Signs, Nazia & Zoheb, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan etc among the local acts. My early international exposure to music was Michael Jackson, Madonna, Roxette, Bon Jovi, Nirvana, Metallica, Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Bryan Adams, U2 etc. Guitar and keyboards are the only 2 instruments that I have ever played. Uniqueness is the diversity of styles of music in 1 record!
