Nils Anders Carl Wall, born September 23, 1974 in Botkyrka/Stockhom, is a Swedish composer, sound artist and sound designer. Growing up in Västerås, the acoustic guitar became Anders Wall’s instrument of choice. After high school he taught guitar, mandolin, electric guitar, bass guitar and ensemble-playing at the Kulturskolan in Västerås and Köping. When ”soap-operas” was the flavour of the month, Anders Wall was Operations Manager at Hollyhammar, where the TV series ”Friends & Foes” or ”Vänner & Fiender” was made. Around 1,000 episodes in three different languages ​​was recorded before Anders moved to London for a continuing television career at Bloomberg Ltd. Back in Sweden he earned a masters degree in composition for film at the Malmö Academy of Music and the University in Lund. At the same time he worked as a sound engineer and Technical Operations Manager at the Swedish Broadcast Corporation, SVT, in Stockholm and Malmö. Since graduating, Anders has written music for both concerts and various media. For example; the short film ”The Kite” was shown on theatres all over Sweden and was released on DVD. There was also a memorable live performance of ”The Kite” by the Malmö Symphony Orchestra with a big screen projection. In 2010 Anders was commissioned to take part in the rescoring of ”The Prince Achmed’s Adventure”, its triumphant premiere performed by Storströms Kammarensemble, that too with film. Anders is a proud composer of a lot of music for childrens’ TV-shows, for example: ”The end of the Milky Way” and spinoff series ”Pax”. In 2012, he wrote the ”Rosenfred 2012″ for Kulturskolan in Varberg in which all students could participate: 320 students took part in the first performance and the school in Varberg immediately commissioned a second piece; ”Rosenfred 2013″. Anders Wall runs the company WallofSound AB and holds workshops in ”How to edit (video) with music” for SVT staff in Malmö and Gothenburg. He carries out consulting assignments in studio construction, acoustics, sound design and engineering. He lectures frequently on film music – both for enthusiasts and professionals – and works closely with the budding film makers at Skurups Folkhögskola. At the musicology program at the University of Lund, Anders has trained students in music theory and digital notation. Anders has arranged a variety of music for UNICEF and various CD releases. He produces his own electronic instruments, and is a proud co-creator of the software Sonic Couture Crowd Choir, 8Dio Fr33 Fr33 Radical & Angels.
