Bass Providers started in 2012, but both producers have their long journey behind.
Op8 (Konrad Chacon) as one of the pioneers in the Costa Rican Drum&Bass scene. Op8 Started Djing in South Beach,FL in 1996 with his brother Radchid (How initiated the DnB Since in CR in the late 90’s), then moved back to C.R in 2006. He performed with his brother and both were responsible for organizing events in C.R with big UK producers/ djs like Drumsound&Bassline Smith, Dj Silver from North Base, A-sides, and many local shows. Headliner at Chepe Joven Fest in 2011, now known as PAZLAND, a festival with a public of around 20K people and known today as one of the biggest festivals in C.R.
JLEON is a fulltime studio engineer, producer & sound designer. Trained musician since he was 13, performed and recorded in multiple bands and flamenco duos in Costa Rica & Puerto Rico. In 2007 he went to college for Audio Engineering in Tampa, Florida. In 2011 he moved back to Costa Rica and started engineering and producing at multiple local studios recording and mixing bands. In late 2012 he started producing his first tracks, and a few moths later he was already doing remixes for local and international artist, and a year later he was already collaborating with artist like Stylust Beats, who Headline at Shambhala Fest 13’ & 14’. JLEON started producing with Op8 in november of 2012.
With only one year together, both have achieve an incredible improvement on their production getting a sound that no one in C.R got ever before, this also opened doors for multiple shows at club Vertigo, and 2 festivals.
2014 comes full of new music, more shows and festivals!!!
