As the Hiphop culture continues to give birth to new talent, few up and comers have the capabilities and delivery that BigMeat possesses. Drawing comparison to artist such as Drake ,Jayz ,Nas ,J-cole,and The Game it’s easy to understand why a buzz has been created.
BigMeat (Sunny Malaza) was born in Mpumalanga on the 06 August 1990 in a small township called Elukwatini. He was raised by a single mother with his two older sisters and brothers. “I grew up listen to hip hop at a young age and funny thing is no one in my family really followed hiphop or undesrstood it” said Bigmeat. Growing up as the youngest child that loved rap music created a challenge for him because he had no guidance or someone he can rely on for a second opinion.
In 2009 BigMeat (Sunny Malaza) started writing real bars and participating in cyphers around his neighbourhood, which was the only thing that kept him motivated and gave him a challenge The following year he met a friend, they started a band but it was not a success because they had to part ways after matriculating.
2011 he then moved to Johannesburg and continued with his writing while he had a side job that paid his bills, that same year he decided to work on his first project called ‘Invisible in jozi ‘.One of his favourite songs he wrote was called “Alupheli” which was also not a success in the market as he had no management and marketing resources
A couple of years later he started working on his second project(Mixtape) called ‘1192’ with a band called Kluster Network Group .He was still not signed under any label but he worked under Kluster as an individual artist, he had his up’s and downs but that did not put him down in anyway .
The rapper still delivers and intends to bring more to the table and as for his plans for the future, he believes that he will be the best writer they’ll ever be…….
