uniE621 Special Education program Logo for Stehlik Elementary School
Problem: The client desired a new logo for the Special Education program at Stehlik Elementary School. They wanted something modern yet eye-catching. It was specified for the design to contain a horse and an "S" in the center. The colors to be used were maroon, grey, and white. Method: In Adobe Illustrator, I mainly used the brush tool along with the line tool to create my designs. I showcased three logos, two of which held the client's specifications and a third one to show something different. Solution: After consulting with the client, they decided to choose the third logo. They changed the title, shape, and background color. To make the logo engaging, the client wanted the logo to be transparent; as to go on any color. #logo #graphicdesigner #illustrator #branding
    uniE621 Wild Spawn Mushrooms Logo
A colorful and playful logo I produced for a mushroom business. Problem: The client was a group of friends who desired a logo for their upcoming mushroom business. They wanted the logo to be colorful, but as for the design: I was given free rein. Method: In Adobe Illustrator, I mainly used the mesh tool along with the pen tool to create the logos. I produced three different logo's: all with a unique aesthetic and font. Solution: After consulting with the client, they desired it would be best to take each favorite piece from each logo and put it all into a new design. For the changes: I made the font larger, changed the outlook of the mushrooms around the circle and the colors. #logo #graphicdesigner #webdesigner #branding
    uniE621 Relish Wine Merchant Logo
A simple yet modern logo I created for a new concept at Relish Restaurant & Bar. Problem: The owners of the establishment desired a logo for a new concept for a wine delivery system. They wanted the writing in the logo to be all in cursive and inside of a circle. The color for both the font and circle were to be royal blue. Method: In Adobe Illustrator, I used the shape tool and the type tool to conduct three logos to show to the client. Each design was in a different color of blue and font: this was to showcase various options. Solution: After showing the client three designs, they decided to keep two out of the three shown: one for the wine concept and the other for their restaurant. In the design shown they wanted the flower design to be on both sides and to match the font and color to both logos. #logo #graphicdesigner #illustrator
    uniE621 Snaps Dog Treats
An organic brand of dog treats complete with visuals and effective packaging design. Problem: The assignment was to produce a package design and graphics for the outside. Acknowledging this, I wanted to create a brand of organic dog treats with a playful logo. Method: I used both Adobe Illustrator and ArtiosCAD packaging software for this project. ArtiosCAD allowed me to formulate the dimensions of my box and produce an outlook of what the box would look like as a whole. In Adobe Illustrator, I mainly used the paintbrush tool to create both the logo and packaging graphics. Solution: To make the box engaging for consumers, the bone in the front will be a window to see the dog treats. As for the color choices, I decided to make the logo itself be the center of attention while the green surrounding the box emits nature and freshness. #logo #graphicdesigner #illustrator #branding
    uniE621 Espresso's
A coffee-based cereal with marshmallows I designed for adults. Problem: The project was to create a cereal box design to showcase one's abilities in Adobe Illustrator. For this design, I decided to aim towards people who are in their twenties and thirties: people who enjoy coffee. To catch their attention, I wanted to have a simple, fun, and kid-friendly design. Method: I used Adobe Illustrator for my design with a cereal box layout provided by Professor Charles Beyl at The University of Houston. The main tools that I used were the mesh, ellipse, rectangle, and type tool. Solution: The main delay was coming up with a mascot for the cereal. In the end, I chose a bear. To make the design engaging, I added the mascot on the side of the box too. I wanted it to be funny because it can represent how the majority of people feel when they wake up. *This design won 3rd place for the Package Design category at the University of Houston's 2020 RedFest. #graphicdesigner #illustrator #branding
    uniE621 PGSF Poster
PGSF scholarship poster I designed for college students to come and apply. Problem: The project was to create a poster with the given text from PGSF to promote students to apply for their scholarship. I wanted the poster to be visually pleasing and for the poster to emit one's future. Method: I used Adobe InDesign to generate a well-balanced composition, and Adobe Photoshop to crop out the necessary images I needed; the quick selection tool mainly was used for this process. Solution: To keep the background from being simple, I added in more clouds. The hands were also changed to be larger to connect with the importance of the title. #poster #pgsf #scholarship
    uniE621 Backyard Adventures
Problem: Take a photograph of my dog from an angle of him looking into the dirt. Method: I wanted the camera to look as if it was the dirt itself to capture my dog looking into it. To do so, I took a finished toilet paper roll and used tacky glue to glue on the soil. After capturing the moment, I utilized Adobe Lightroom to lighten my dog to make him the main focus. Solution: During the setup stage, the toilet paper roll was too long. To fix this, I cut off more than half. #photo #lightroom
    uniE621 Rose Garden
Problem: Photograph a single rose and produce a clear and colorful image through Adobe Lightroom. Method: I used a Canon EOS Rebel T7 to capture the rose. With Adobe Lightroom, I brightened the colors of the rose along with the stem to make it the main focus. Solution: To keep the main focus on the flower solely, I ended up having the background blurred out. #photo #lightroom
