My name is Darrell Williams and I make cartoons. I am an alumni of the College For Creative Studies In Detroit MI. I primarily focus on 2D animation but I also work with motion graphics, story boarding, illustration and video editing. Some of my highlight projects include “The Survival Guide to China”, my senior thesis film and “Dr. Kranium and Sir Charles vs the World”, which was the first short film.
When I work, I tend to use a mixture of both ideologies of eastern and western animation. I tend to utilize quick movements and lots of expressions to quickly engage and lead to viewer. Also, I tend to be very cautious in offending or age restricting any demographics in my work. I present worlds that can be very complex or culturally confusing that can be explained visually in a very “common sense” manner. The 2D
traditional/digital medium allows me to tap in to my imagination and give the audience a raw representation of my imagination.
