Aaron Cloutier is a musician/songwriter/engineer residing in Louisville Kentucky and has dedicated his life for 20 years to the pursuit of music. Beginning as a guitar player at the age of 16 with roots in Thrash and Death Metal, Aaron has expanded his playing to adopt influences from Jazz, Folk, Progressive Rock, Shred and even Latin.
His area of expertise lies within the Metal/Rock/Alternative/Progressive/Electronic and Experimental genres as a Vocalist, Guitarist, Songwriter, Producer and Drum programmer with additional skills as an audio engineer including editing, mixing and mastering. As a guitarist, Aaron can provide rhythm, lead and acoustic guitar. As a vocalist, Aaron’s styles range from Death/Thrash/Speed Metal and Hardcore to Rock/Alternative/ (From Pantera/Slipknot/Meshuggah/Chimaira/Neurosis/King Diamond/Killswitch Engage/Lamb of God and Strapping Young Lad to Tool/A Perfect Circle/Radiohead/Incubus/Metallica/Faith No More/Mr Bungle/ and others)
His pursuits led him to the study of songwriting, singing and production resulting in a 15 song demo under the name “DAVOLA”. By this time Aaron was teaching guitar privately and honing his vocal, writing and production skills on his own personal as well as collaborative projects before deciding to further his education. In the summer of 2009, Aaron relocated to Arizona and attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences to study music production and audio engineering.
Upon his graduation, Aaron had the privilege of assisting on “Dead New World” (Victory Records). The 2010 release from Latin Metal band Ill Nino where he handled recording duties for 90% of the vocals for the project. Earning him an assistant engineer credit on a record released worldwide in the process.
Since the release of “Dead New World” Aaron has been devoting time as a Guitar and Vocal instructor at the School of Rock in Chatham, NJ and continues to do work as a hired gun collaborating with various musicians from all over the world.
