It all began winter of 1990, I'll never forget it. It was a late friday evening some friends of mine wanted me to give them a ride to a local After Hour Dance Emporium called "HEAVEN". The first thing that i took notice to was the line that was wrapped around the corner along side of the building. The beat could be heard for blocks. Walking into the club was like sitting in a tub full of bass. The atmosphere was very electric and energetic. The dancefloor was pitch black filled(packed)full of faithful househeads and party goers. The bass cabinets took the room hostage as the floating high end speakers thrashed with lightening with-out distortion. I looked up to the DJ booth illuminated by a flourescent light in the upper left corner of the room and all i could see was a pair of shiny glasses and a diasheekie. The DJ qoutes "Heaven where u hear it no better". At that moment i became a slave to the beat and had made up in my mind that i would be in that DJ booth one day spinning. Two years later i gave Ken Collier a mix tape of mine and asked if i could possibly get a chance to spin with him.
