In this project, the duo combines their influence and extensive experience with various Latin rhythms to reach a unique style and sound, that ranges from electro progressive to moombathon. Damn Frog fusions the tempo and percussions of house music slowed down to the sensual Reggaeton tempo, also influenced by Reggaeton drums and percussion elements. As founder of Flow Music and Reggaeton per se, DJ Nelson's street-friendly taste helped bring Reggeaton into the mainstream of American culture and mass media. As founder of the first Reggaeton radio station, known as Mix 107 FM, DJ Nelson and Flow Music Productions in Puerto Rico are at the forefront of Latin Urban Music, from their record releases to their live global presentations and collaborations with main artists. DJ Nelson is responsible for producing albums such as “Flow La Discoteka,” and is also responsible for discovering multi platinum selling producers, Luny Tunes. He has worked with all the Reggaeton megastars, such as Daddy Yankee, Tego Calderon, Ivy Queen, Don Omar and many more. Gaby Metalico has also worked with many Latin artists, such as J Alvarez, Arcangel, Daddy Yankee and many others. While producing for Latin artists, Gaby always brought that electronic spice to the table, making him known for his heavily energetic sound. Although, DJ Nelson made his first house track back in 1990, for the label Strictly Rhythm, based out of New York, with Gladys Pizarro, it wasn’t until recently that he started collaborating with Gaby on what has turned out to be an enormous success. In 2014, Nelson and Gaby founded their own independent label, DamnFrog Music, and with lots of persistence they have brought main Reggaeton artists, such as Zion to collaborate in DamnFrog, in songs such as “Imagination Gone Wild.” Performing in some of the biggest venues, such as Las Justas, in Puerto Rico, club Oracle in Las Vegas and now set to perform in Medalla Light’s Yellow Halloween with the Chainsmokers, DamnFrog has reached immense popularity in only a couple of months, to the point of being featured artists in Sirius XM’s, La Mezcla Radio Show and being picked up by Pandora Radio as well. The dynamic duo is currently promoting their latest album, “Sunset”, and currently have their hit single, “Hit it from the Back” and Going Mad, being heavily promoted on the radio.
