The Translator and Interpreter, Dian Elisabeth Krueger
born in New York City, grew up surrounded by diversity in a German-American household and attended a German-language school as a child. I moved to Germany in 1979 and tried my hand at farming and various other enterprises that caught my attention. In 1985, I graduated from Colόn Language Institute in Hamburg, Germany. I had intensive training in translation and interpretation (main area: business). I spent many years living and working in Germany. Among others, my employers have been O.M.R. Oil Market Report, SIEMENS and LEGO GmbH.
In 2007, I obtained a BA degree in Anthropology/Sociology. I began working for humanitarian organizations where I found my Spanish skills to be quite useful and attended Radford University in Virginia where I received several credits towards a Masters of Social Work. Now, I work as a freelance translator and interpreter mainly with German language skills. My experience includes medical interpretation and translation, as well as automotive and various technical assignments. I have translated material for businesses that needed marketing materials, legal and financial documentation.
I still enjoy the field of humanitarian aid and try to volunteer my services whenever possible.
