A versatile, bilingual performer, Eleanor’s career spans the genres of theatre, film, television and music. She has trained with the Suzuki Company of Toga (Japan) and the SITI Company (US), and was part of the pioneering batch of young & W!LD, which earned a Life! Theatre Best Ensemble Award for Mad Forest in 2008. Eleanor began her stage career with children's theatre in numerous productions by I Theatre, performing in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She tackled challenging roles in The Necessary Stage's Future Perfect and Don't Know, Don't Care, Teater Ekamatra's Mata Hati, COLLAB Theatre Ensemble’s Metamorphoses, Wessex Theatre’s Top Girls and WILD Rice’s Homesick. Her interest in physical theatre led her to works such as Teater Ekamatra's Bleeding Grace, Marion D'Cruz's Dream Country and Orangedot Productions' The Conference of the Birds. Eleanor has performed in iconic musicals such as Toy Factory’s December Rains and Glass Anatomy, and SRT’s Forbidden City: Portrait of an Empress and A Twist of Fate, and Dick Lee's Hot Pants and Beauty World. Eleanor played Vivian Lee in Tanglin. Other television credits include Kin, 西瓜甜不甜, Red Thread, Behind Closed Doors, UnNatural, Crimewatch, On the Edge, Journey With Me, Cradle of Life, Mata Mata, Code of Law II, Unbroken, and Point of Entry. Eleanor is a highly experienced drama educator with an MA in Arts Practice and Pedagogy. She works extensively in corporate and medical roleplay, sings and emcees for corporate and private events, and is a seasoned voiceover artist. Eleanor recently returned to children's theatre with Red Riding and Rapunzel by the SRT Little Company. She made her directorial debut in the local opera scene with L'arietta's Purgatory, and played the Queen of Hearts in their production of Robert Chauls’ Alice in Wonderland. Eleanor will next be seen onstage in Paper Monkey’s 花田错, and onscreen in Lion Mums 3.
