Graduated from Ain Shams University where he studied English and American literature, El Wardani’s first documentary was “Tahrir-Ben Ghazi” which told the story of the Libyan Revolution back in 2011; the movie won the Best Documentary Award in Hannover Up and Coming Film Festival 2011.
He took part in many filmmaking / editing workshops and his last short film “For Nina” participated in many local, African and European Film Festivals. El Wardani joined Welad Elbalad team and founded the video unit in May 2012; he trained a number of young journalists from different Egyptian governorates to become the only reporters outside the Capital.
Now he is a freelancer filmeditor.
