Documentary - Frozen Tundra
This is a sample from a commission for an independent documentary for some film graduates at the Seattle Film Institute.
To bring out the feel of the frozen tundra, the music was directed in very specific ways. For example, the orchestral string instrument sounds were recorded in freezing temperatures which gives it an ethereal and bright sound.
Also, continuing with the theme of brightness and space, the audio of bass and earthy sounds. Instead the piece is comprised of shimmering treble.
Finaly, a larger than normal distinction between the audio in the left and right ear was used to give a more grand feeling of openness and space.…This is a sample from a commission for an independent documentary for some film graduates at the Seattle Film Institute.
