I design for results. For that reason I obsess over defining the problem and goal before taking steps to complete a project. It sounds obvious, but we have all interacted with many products that got lost somewhere along the way. I am one of many working to end that.
I have designed and nurtured over 70 products to market and seen multiple millions of units made. This was only made possible by putting forth effort on the front end to iteratively design the right thing and taking the time on the back end to communicate constantly with manufacturers and solve problems on site in Asia.
As a team member I am passionate and opinionated, but I’m nice about it. I am a confident communicator, who is good with speaking, listening, writing, sketching, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign. I’m a CAD nerd who thinks spending a whole evening learning about surface continuity or equation driven models sounds like a good time. I mostly work in Solidworks and Rhino. I also like to get hands-on in a model shop or with a foam board mock-up or with a sewing machine. Being hands-on is invaluable for learning. I also believe in wearing goggles when it is even slightly warranted.
I am currently looking for full-time and consulting industrial design opportunities.
