Since I was a child I enjoyed looking through magazines and encyclopaedias that my dad brought home. I stared at the images for long periods of time dreaming of been there.
Today, my art is a recollections of the places I lived and visited. Some of the places I visited seems very familiar they were the same places I dreamt when I was a child.
I like to start an art piece when the image has a strong presence in my mind, it gestated for a while until I found it in my photo albums, then the painting process goes fast after that.
I replicate, redesign and replaced elements of the photo and make it more personal in the painting.
My art is a visual diary of my trips and experiences of the places I visited.
