Sign in: https://www.twine.net/signup_ I am a producer, rapper, and let's player. It's a pretty horrible combination. I'm only good/bad based on your opinion, please feel free to let me know. I'm currently working with the founder of COdominance, mr.blankslate to create an album and a mix of LP's/EP's. I've grown up in a small town in southwest Colorado, known by Durango. I don't consider myself a very social person, and I don't get close to people very often, but through playing clarinet, I achieved a whole new world of possibilities. I played clarinet for 8 years, throughout middle school, high school, and college. I have since stopped because of my focus on rapping and producing. My inspirations are very widely ranged, because I didn't grow up with hip hop or rap at all. As a child, I had a guilty pleasure for Eminem, but he was the only rapper I had any sort of intelligence about. I listened to a lot of heavy metal, post-hardcore, and screamo. Avenged Sevenfold is probably my favorite band in that genre, but System of a Down is a close second. mr.blankslate first showed me Immortal Technique around 2010, or so. It was at that point where I realized that rap music WAS about lyrics, but since I'd only been exposed to mainstream people, like Lil Wayne and Eminem, they weren't the best people to hold my attention. I was fascinated with Immortal Technique's ability to speak history, however controversial it might sound. Don't get me wrong, Eminem sure has a story to tell in a lot of his songs, but I'm more inspired by Technique's dedicated lyricism to history, and the flaws of humanity. I'm also inspired by K'Naan, Soul Khan, Brother Ali, Dumbfoundead, Watsky, The Jokerr, Dan Bull, and Lorde. I could name off a whole bunch of artists that I listen to regularly, but those few are the ones who have given me the most inspiration to become a rapper, and speak what I think is truth on my perspective.
