Stephanie Witherspoon
I’m passionate about two things - creativity and communication. I’ve been making art all my life. I love to create, and all forms of creativity inspire and excite me. I’m also a community builder, and love creating collaborations that are positive, productive, and transformational.
I received my BFA in Graphic Design from Chapman University in 2002, and have a decade of branding and design experience. I started my career working for two design agencies – Chase Design Group and GelComm. At both agencies, we worked on branding style guides, packaging, and product design for companies including Disney, Kellogg’s, and Cartoon Network. In 2008, I left GelComm to start my own studio. For seven years, I was the owner and art director for Alterna.tif Design, leading a small team of designers and web developers. We offered branding, websites, packaging, and print collateral to small businesses and start-ups. It was an amazing experience, and I learned a lot about leading a creative team. In June 2015, I was offered my first Art Director consultant contract at CrowdfundX, a marketing agency that specializes in crowdfunding campaigns. I’ve been working on projects with them ever since. Also, in the time I’ve been working for CrowdfundX, I have worked on freelance graphic design projects for Artime Group in Pasadena, CA, working on large national brands including Clary Traffic and Utility Trailers. These experiences have left me with an unusually diverse set of skills. I’m familiar with building and managing a creative team, taking art direction and working on a team, working with clients and vendors, brand development, managing multiple projects at once, meeting tight deadlines, and writing copy for websites, brochures, blogs, and social media.
