Crazy Monk Records head honcho, H Justini aka Sithembele Harmonious Kubheka was born in Johannesburg (South Africa) in 1987. He grew up in an era where Kwaito music was very popular in the country and House music was gaining traction. DJs such as DJ Fresh (SA), Oskido, DJ Monde, Iggy Smallz and Khabzela to name but a few, were importing international house and releasing compilations. It is needless to say that House was growing and it had grown beyond his knowledge. Family gatherings are some of the most memorable and influential times of his life and gave him exposure to a lot of music which still inspires his productions to this day. As a producer he is very versatile and unpredictable. It is DJ Fresh’s “Fresh House Flavour” series of compilation that sparked his love for House music as well as DJs such as Monde, Iggy Smallz, Khabzela, Vinny Da Vincci, Christos and many others. He was later introduced to Hip Hop and yes he sucked as a rapper/lyricist. In 2006 he was introduced to beat making by a friend and this is where it all began. After several years of making Hip Hop beats and learning new Daws, plugins and other music related theory, he began his journey into making House music. In 2010 he started his own label called, Rythmic Music (spelling error intended) which exclusively released music on Afrodesiamp3 and Juno download. During this time he caught the attention of some local and international Labels namely Kadazma Records (South Africa), Habitual Grooves (UK), HSR Records (Italy) and Instant Deep Records. In 2012 Afrodesiamp3 seized operation and shutdown for good. After learning these news, H Justini saw an opportunity to expand and release his music to more and bigger platforms such as Traxsource, beatport and iTunes. This new phase saw the birth of Crazy Monk Records. His sound has evolved over the years and he continues to grow as an artist. He has had collaborations with South African vocalist Lokka Vocal, French Vocalist LaVoyce and recently with UK based vocalist Velma Dandzo. His productions vary between Deep, Soulful and a touch of Garage. He is as unpredictable on the decks as he is with his productions. One thing for sure he can get the crowd moving
