Jam Bez Entertainment is a record label and recording studio based in Spanish Town, St. Catherine Jamaica. It was officially founded in June 2014 by Christopher ‘Sevral’ Garvey and Susan Chan, who are originally from Jamaica and Belize respectively. These varied cultural backgrounds play a vital role in the musical direction of their productions and recording method and style. The company’s first professionally recorded single, “Blood Friend” by their main artist/engineer Jovi DiPree was released on iTunes on the 9th of September, 2014. It has been doing well considering the infantile stage of the label and the artiste, finding itself in regular rotation on stations such as Zip, Irie, RJR, Fame and Sun City among other local Radio Stations. It has also been doing well outside of Jamaica, securing regular rotation on Boom Champions 94 FM in Trinidad, Love FM and Waves FM in Belize, and many internet streams in the United States and England as well. Their first compilation project, titled “The Realest Riddim” was released on 21st November, 2014 and features artistes like the upcoming conscious-minded D’Koncep, 2014 Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall Runner-up Hydal, and their very own Jovi DiPree. A late addition to the compilation is French Dancehall artiste Propa. This rhythm has also been doing well on airwaves locally and internationally as well. Their plans in the near future include more hands-on promotion, video shoots for songs like “Blood Friend” and a medley video shoot for the songs on the “Realest Riddim” as well as arranging for shows locally and overseas. Jam Bez Entertainment has a bright future in the making and a place in Dancehall and Reggae music on a worldwide scale.
