I am an Artist, a photographer I am a conceptual photographer, most of my work is Surreal Art “To photograph people is to violate them, by seeing them as they never see themselves, by having knowledge of them that they can never have; it turns people into objects that can be symbolically possessed.” However, it is not an ordinary task but takes a deep understanding of the subject and the object that need to be captured. Peaush Vikram Panesar, an artist from Chandigarh possesses same power and even beyond to leave people contemplate on the predicament of women in our society. Negating the conventional rules and divorcing my family business soon I picked up photography as my vocation. I made camera as my instrument to show people what often gets disdained. My work reflects on the sad predicament of women. It serves as a mouthpiece for the voice of women which seldom gets a platform to vent out her pain, agony, sorrow and joy. My work is said to be memento mori. As to take a photograph I participate in another person’s (especially women here) mortality, vulnerability, mutability.
