I started my career creating original works of art early in my childhood, teaching myself to play the guitar and piano and learning to play the saxophone in elementary school. In my intermediate school years, I composed scores of classical music, which our school band performed live at concerts. In high school, I joined several music groups, where I played guitar and bass guitar and did vocals. In 2003, I turned my interests to rap and hip-hop music and culture, realizing that I could create songs even without instruments, and began focusing on lyrical content over instrumental content. By the end of 2008, I was a member of a number of hip-hop music groups, had released a large amount of recorded material, had done live performances in clubs up and down the East coast of the United States, and had several thousand followers. In 2009, I moved to Russia and took the stage name “Kris Amerikos”, where I became the first American rapper to build his career from the local music scene in Russia. Since then, my music has grown in popularity, spans multiple genres, and the number of people who have listened to my music has reached the hundreds of thousands.
