Leon Knibbs was born on an island in the Caribbean called Dominica and being Dominican introduced him to the smooth Caribbean rhythm that was heard frequently through carnivals and national celebrations. That ignited his musical interest through the years. He started out as a percussionist playing with different groups and artists like Mantra, Wooden stools, the Boys and Them and Eric Donaldson.
Moving to Sweden made it possible for him too widen his musical background and career and through the years he has played and recorded with an number of well known acts such as Jukka Tolonnen, Mockba Music, Jahmaica, Modern Sound Corporation, Hassan Bah Bush Band and eventually building his own band called the Pyramidix and touring Sweden and Europe. The material they recorded resulted in 2011s album Fear No Man.
Leon Knibbs is a songwriter, guitarist, vocalist, and percussionist who somewhere through the transitions of life got into oil-paintings. The result of that is shown in the artwork of his album Fear No Man.
