Currently, I am a Graphic Design Student in Singapore, in my third year at Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Design beginning April. I major in Photography in the Communication Design course. My works cover a wide range of photography and graphic design. I have works in Product, Fashion, Narrative and Fashion Photography. I like to make use of a minimalistic style in my works and I hope to work to make it an iconic part of my work. I do works in digital illustrations, typography and branding as well. Outside of school, I work for an indie cafe as a barista. Working there has given me the opportunity to learn more in customer service. I have also been given the opportunity to help in the running of the cafe’s Instagram page, doing quick photoshoots for them with limited resources to work with. I feel that it has helped me learn to be innovative and be creative with the limited resources I have on hand. I have also done other graphic design works for the cafe, designing a menu and signboards for them. My experiences in a workplace as well as being a graphic design student have helped me shape my work ethics and given me a taste of what to expect in the future. I am more open to criticism and also always ready to pick up new skills. Especially as a student, I have learnt to always take the initiative when I want to learn something new, instead of waiting for an opportunity to come along on its own.
