Lola Galla grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania and inhabited Brooklyn, New York, for eight years, before moving to West Africa, where she has resided since 2013. Her photography has been featured in various solo and group photography exhibitions throughout the New York City area, including Williamsburg, Tribeca, and Manhattan. Most recently, her photography is being published for the book cover of NY Times Editor Joseph Berger's "The Pious Ones", published by HaperCollins Publishers. She was featured in the online New York news blog The Gothamist, and in Write Now: Artists and Letterforms, at the Chicago Cultural Center Museum, in Chicago, Illinois. Lola belongs to the LookAtLife community of local NY based artists. Some of her text-based work has been published in mid)rib, an online journal of contemporary poetry, GAUSS PDF, and in Derek Beaulieu’s speechless, also found on UBU Web.
