I have been awarded numerous Loerie Grand Prixes, Cannes Awards
D&AD, Clio, London International Awards, AAA ADs of the month Awards.
I have worked on most type of accounts from motorcars to medical,
retail, liquor, tobacco, packaged goods, fashion and financial,
I am equally at home in Print,Television,Radio and Digital
I consider my talents to be equally as strong, and effective in the
Strategic, Creative and Production fields
I believe that the Creative Execution can only
be as effective as the strategy that gave it birth
At the same time the Strategy is useless
with out the intelligent creative to bring it to life.
With out crafted Production both will
die a quick death
I am extremely passionate about advertising and have a lot of energy and
a diverse wealth of experience to contribute, to this vibrant, exciting industry.
I am married and have three children
Studied journalism at Rhodes university in the early 70’s,

and made it on to the board aged 29.
Had short spells at LINTAS,BBDO and McCann Erikson.
I went travelling for an extended period in the early '80’s.
Returned to South Africa in 1984,
and joined Bates Wells Johannesburg as a Creative Director.

Returned to Bates Wells in '87 as Executive Creative Director
Transferred to the Durban office 10 years later in '97.
The agency was bought by and renamed

I remained there till 2015,
first as Executive Creative Director,
and subsequently as
Managing Director and Executive Creative Director of TBWA/TOO
Left in 2015, having spent 28 years at the agency.
I feel that after 40 years in the advertising business
I have earned the right to do the things I enjoy
Strategy, Creative and Production.
and to avoid Big Agency Office admin, H.R and Corporate Politics,
