MIYOSHI IMATANI (Harpsichord) was born in Hitachi, Japan. She began her general music studies when she was only three years old, concentrating on the piano by the age of six. She later studied piano with Hitomi Sano and organ with Yoshito Tsuda in Kyoto. Alongside her musical studies, she graduated from the Doshisha University in Kyoto.After moving to Italy, she gained her first level academic degree in harpsichord at the Conservatory of Trento in 2008, and went on to obtain the second level degree at the Conservatory of Bolzano in 2011, graduating both institutions with honors. She received advice and attended seminars and courses by Giovanni Togni, Stefano Demicheli, Ottavio Dantone, Enrico Baiano and Emilia Fadini. As the first prize winner of the 2013 Wanda Landowska Chamber Music Competition in Ruvo di Puglia (BA), she has been concertizing extensively, including performances with Emsemble "Orfeo Ritrovato", Orchestra Giovanile Trentina, and "I Fiori del Barocco," which she co-founded. Now she works at a Conservatory of Trento, Italy.
