The clock and the calendar strike twelve o’clock on April the seventeenth. A Post is seen, accompanied by artwork and a simple, yet powerful statement - we have just released our first official debut EP, “Weathering the Solitude.” Produced by a member of a heavy technical black metal band, an opportunity was given to both: he, to test his craft on a genre/sound that’s near the opposite end of the spectrum and us, a chance to work with a seasoned producer who has been across, nearly the entirety of said spectrum. The result? An eclectic blend of three tracks that encompass a journey of: longing, growth, prosperity, and acceptance. That being said, Moon Haven has not and will not stop there. In fact, last May, we played as the support band for the “Out for Blood Tour” (aptly named based on the blood-drive admissions) with headlining acts “From Light Rose the Angels” and “INSATIA.” The tour spanned the cities of: Los Angeles, Tucson, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Denver and Las Vegas. Yet, this is all a far cry from Moon Haven’s Conception and a truth that in 2014, we would never believe. With a past in separate bands that couldn’t stand the test of: time, talent and drive, Moon Haven was, to say the least, a risky endeavor; one that initially yearned to be something different than what it’s become and one that we’ve seen grow and mature into something that we are truly proud of. One thing that remains unchanged however, is the desire to create music that appeals to both us and diverse audiences alike. Throughout the time of Moon Haven, even just the year of 2015, Moon Haven has been many things -- delving into the likes of progressive and atmospheric music and hinting at expressions of "radio rock" to then delving into the likes of hard radio rock and hinting at expressions of progressive and atmospheric music. One element that has held true in its creation and beyond, is that use of experimentation. When one listens to our debut EP, “Weathering the Solitude” this will become decidedly evident as from track-to-track, we dance and mingle our way through different styles and genres. Expanding upon that, it’s also no secret nor shame to admit, that we are a band that is still in its infancy and initial stages of conception, but we have and continue to grow every day. That growth has been accelerated even further since the release of our EP and the short gigs that followed in support of it on the Out for Blood Tour and we can’t wait to show you all that result on our upcoming debut (full-length) album. If interested, we are also CURRENTLY SEEKING: Keyboardist/Piano Please direct any audition interests to: _Email not available.
