Nikki ‘Flame’ Jordan
Nikki spent many hours on various Club dancefloors lost in the music… so, when the opportunity arose to learn the craft of mixing on a pair of Kam Belt Drives then onto Technics 1210’s , it did not take long until Nikki was spinning vinyl all over Scotland and further afield, taken to it with ease…every opportunity is taken to spin on vinyl at gigs even now.
Over the last 5 years in her career,Nikki has devoted hours to learning everything she can about new soundz, new technology and has also been producing. With the new digital era her CDJ 2000’s are her prized possession…even although she has got the digital software.and controller set-up ..she does not find this as much of a pleasure to play on as either technics or her cdj’s. Nikki is still being asked to play vinyl sets too and is something says she would love to do more of in the future, “nothing beats, the excitement felt when you get new vinyl, getting out of it’s sleeve, switching the players on…seeing the lights come up..placing the record on and then the needle..before you can hear the.track for the first time even though.you heard it online, it’s not the same is it”.
Nikki’s expression of her love of dance music comes in her track selection and excellent ability to progress the mix and introduce vocals just when it seems right, give it more energy when needed too..as Nikki says herself “from a listening point of view you want to be taken on a journey and as a dancer you want to move in all sorts of ways, nothing worse than feeling like you have danced the same for ages, I’d personally get bored with that, so I play to how I’d like to be made to dance”.

PROTEC – “my passion for all things progressive house with that deeper techy edge”
Now in it’s 5th year online and hosted now with one of Amsterdams biggest radio stations PURE Radio founded by Mart Moon. With over 5k listeners every second Saturday LIVE, with monthly support from Dave Seaman providing a mix.
Producer – producing under her own name as well as N-Tec, Nikki has had a few releases to date of remixes and original tracks. When time allows she delves into the depths of production building the blocks of knowledge each time and in her own words, “I am very pleased with my work to date, it’s a huge learning curve which I relish when there is extra time. My next release due out sometime in March is a remix of a great vocalist’s track from Canada “Chrissy Cue – Stay Golden” and is sounding reminiscent of the great Chunky Progressive House sound that I love, even Balearic, so very excited for it’s release and finding time to get more original tracks out, that I would play in mixes” so watch this space for those…
