Phindile ‘SoulProvider’ Nqana Singer/songwriter, guitarist and poet Born Phindile Nqana in Pretoria, South Africa, this queen of soul is a guitarist, poet, composer and arranger. With both sides of her family bearing gifted musicians, it comes as no surprise that she followed an artistic path. An outstanding Jazz and Classical guitar student of Classical guitarist and cellist Natalie Roue and CharlLamprecht (coach to award winning duo, CH4), she is living her childhood dream. She has also been a music tutor at the UNISA Music Foundation since 2009. Her remarkable guitar skills have landed her in major stage productions such as Sarafina the Musical in Black and White in 2012 and 2013. Her band which comprises of percussion, bass, and her on vocals and acoustic guitar has performed to riveted audiences at the MAWIDS charity events, the Spain Embassy Christmas Party in 2009 and the Christmas for All: Food-raising Initiative – where she has also been an organizer since 2006. She has captivated audiences with her poetic voice at various poetry sessions in and around Pretoria. Her impressive oratory and enticing way with words has seen her perform her poetry at events such as the private functions organized by the ABI and various Governmental Departments. She has also raised the curtain for prominent acts such as Mak Manaka and Malik. Recently performing at the Pretoria State Theatre alongside VusiMahlasela for Jazz and African Nights programme. Amongst some of these remarkable achievements, she has also participated in talent shows such as Shine on Channel 311. Furthermore, she was also a finalist in the Stellenbosch University Ensemble Competition and the Pro Arte Arts Festival as a member of Classical duo, Zorora in 2012.
