My name is Rogier Bertens and I am a graphic designer with a passion for illustration, (3D) visuals, logos / house styles, packaging design and more. I have more than 20 years experience in designing back-to-school collections for publishers who supply to all main retail stores within Europe. Some of the examples are shown in my portfolio. During these years I have provided designs and artwork to several kinds of industries worldwide, entirely geared to match the demands of each specific printing and production technique. I master the important graphic applications, like Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, but I sometimes swap the computer screen for the ‘old-fashion’ drawing board as my working area. I still have an affection with the ‘analog’ tools such as (colour) pencils, markers and paintbrushes. About 10 years ago I discovered the power and beauty of 3D and it has given an extra 'dimension' to my creativity. Maxon Cinema 4D turned out to be the perfect 3D-addition to my digital toolbox. Since then I have spend many hours in mastering the application and the 3D nitty-gritty in general, and already made several visuals and product designs for various clients. Some of these are visible in my portfolio as well. Design is an evolving and perpetual ongoing proces. This is what keeps designing exciting and challenging. Always eager to create new beautiful things.

Examining the pros and cons of new digital drawing tools compared to the conventional ‘analog’ ones, inspired me to visualize this ‘battle’ by combining both techniques in one illustration and trying to find the perfect mix… #graphicdesign #cartoon
