I’m a 4 year experienced computer animator, graphic and character designer. I have 11 years of experience in creative writing and I write the scripts and draw the storyboard for my projects. Although I’m an individual artist I have 5 years of experience in team work, including online communication. Given a simple but original idea I can make an unusual plot and characters. I’m also a former percussionist, I played on marimba, xylophone and vibraphone for 6 years, but after choosing my profession I had to keep my ambition for music as a hobby. My first achievement in prose writing was when I won Main Award for the nomination Prose at the 1st National Festival of Children's Compositions held in Yerevan, Armenia. Then I went to Manana Youth Educational Cultural Center (journalism, photography, film production and computer animation sections) for 3 years. In that period my essays were published in several Armenian newspapers and magazines. In 2014 I published my 1st literary book "Beginning, Ending, Repetition" (novella). At this moment I’m editing my novel Red which is the continuation of my first book. My first independent work was one minute long animation named “Yerevan Ravens”, I used Adobe Photoshop (to draw characters and backgrounds) and Adobe After Effects (for animation and special effects). My first steps in animation got me to another project Jeunesse en action, which took part in Massat, France (August 2010). Gathered there with Armenians, French, Italian and Serbian groups we made lots of stop motion animations improvising the script on the scene. Our most important project was a mix of 4 national fairy tales, we wrote the script, drew characters and backgrounds and animated it together. After returning from France I entered high school and I got a position of junior jury at Reanimania International Animation film & Comics Art Festival of Yerevan (September 2010). I was a volunteer and a student at Kassart 2d studio (July-December 2011) and at Monkey studio as a 3d modeler (February-November 2012). Then I made a 10 minutes long short animated film named “Three Palm Trees” (May 2012). It’s based on M. Lermontov’s poem and Al. Spendiaryan’s symphonic picture by the same name. It’s being shown at Spendiarian’s museum till this day and it’s been shown at the 9th European Animated Film Festival Balkanima 2012 (Serbia) in “The best student film” program (October 2010). In September 2013 I entered to Yerevan state academy of fine arts (Department of Graphic Arts/ Printing Technology/ Book Illustration). During my first year I was a volunteer (2014 February-May) in the UN Department of Public Information Yerevan Office (worked in the "See You!" animation film production team: script, music, sound and video editing, computer animation). In 2014 December I joined with former UN volunteers and created the Orbeli production. It is a new-age digital animation studio dedicated to the creation of ground-breaking original content and high-end computer generated graphics and animation. We made the advertisement for AM law firm (December 2015). We also made a platform videogame named Mult-game (about time travel portals) with assistance of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Orbeli production team participated in the Speak Standards competition (August 2015) and won the second place for an animated advertisement. The production team also made the tutorial Angle Basics (Armenian version) for Khan Academy (September 2015). My next project (December 2015) where I was the lead director is a 2d short animated film “The Weirdos”. I made it with my assistant Anush Ropique and 3 voice actors.

    uniE608 THREE PALM TREES
This animation film is based on the "Three Palm Trees" poem by Mikhail Lermontov, and on Alexander Spendiaryan's musical symphonic picture by the same name. It is about three palm trees in a desert oasis, bored and upset with their years-long loneliness , wishing that someone passed by and made use of the shade, water, and comfort that they provide. Unexpectedly, a caravan passes by in the middle of the night. They drink the water and cut down the palm trees to use them for timber, without realizing what they have done. Nonetheless, the nature gets its vengeance when the scorpion bites the man who had first suggested the idea. #video #movie #musicvideo #clip #animation film #short animated
