I am a freelance filmmaker, visual artists, writer, producer and researcher.
I started my career in the film industry in 2013 and has worked with local and international production companies, I write, direct, edit, research and produce films from different genres such as documentary, fiction, experimental and commercial. My work engages with moments in everyday life while exploring questions around equality, women empowerment, art and culture, gender, social restrictions and interpersonal relationships.
My first short fiction film as a writer won the jury prize at the Franco Arab Film Festival in 2015, my short experimental film Button was screened in The National Gallery of Fine Arts in Amman and at the Museum Quarter in Vienna in 2017, The Virtual Reality series Walk in Her Shoes which I produced as part of CARE and H&M project with Makmende Media was screened at the VR Cinema in Amsterdam in 2018 and my short Experimental film Postcards was screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam during Rotterdam days and at the Ammehoela Film Festival in Amsterdam in 2019.
