Well firstly, I would like to thank you for visiting my profile.
Let me introduce myself, my full name is Samual Lawrence Davis, I was born in the city of Leeds on the 22nd of September 1991. When I was a child I grew up wanting to be a fireman, then it was a policeman and then a commercial airline pilot before, finally in my late teens I decided I wanted to be a designer.
Since I started designing I have had the opportunity and freedom to experiment and explore my ideas fully. I have gathered the relevant industry experience and skills necessary to turn my ideas into reality using creative graphics, type and imagery. What makes things exciting for me is to be able to better my knowledge and understanding of the nature of the your projects, being able to research different marketing strategies, consumer products and varied types of industry and business.
In the past I have worked within an agency environment, this was a great way for me to start out and gain the visual communication skills and understanding of the industry however I felt it had its own flaws and disadvantages, one being the need to work with you through a middle man thus experiencing the personal connection with you as a client which in my opinion is highly important. Being able to directly communicate my ideas to a you is something that I find hugely satisfying as a designer and aids in the design process by eliminating the need of consulting with a design manager and also helps speed the process up which is hugely beneficial to the your business.
For these reasons, working for a design agency did not suit the way in which i work on projects and thus geared me toward becoming a self employed designer. I manage my own clients, I carry out all aspects of the design process and I have the personal connection and relationship with my clients needed to better my understanding of your project resulting in better quality and effective work.
I never get bored, each day is different and the diversity in each project is what keeps things exciting, fun and challenging. Design is my growing passion and is something that comes from within.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, it means a lot
