Sisa Michalidesova (born April 18, 1983) is a Slovak jazz composer, flutist and an actress. Born and raised in Bratislava, Slovakia, Sisa first became interested in music through her parents, who were both musicians. Her mother was an organist and her father an oboe player. Growing up, Sisa played on the flute and on the piano, but was not exposed to jazz until she attended Bratislava State Conservatory. She began to perform around Bratislava in several music bands and attended music festivals at home and abroad. She played and co-operated with the best Slovak musicians. Sisa composed 9 albums in total, with the first released in 2006. In the same year, she started to compose music for various theatres in Slovakia and Poland. She was also asked to make music for TV and cinema. At the present time, Sisa is working on her 10th CD called The Dream Rhapsody where she collaborates with two-time Grammy nominated pianist, Benito Gonzalez.
