I do a lot of different types of art. I have been fortunate enough to be able to be on a course of continual learning these last few years. However, I find that every project I have done informs the next project even if it is in a completely different medium.
I have been splitting my time between the desert in Joshua Tree, California and the rain forest in Vancouver, B.C. Both are inspiring and the environments have directly affected my art. From exploring all the types of mosses that can create miniature landscapes to finding gnarled wood that will become the limb of a Mojave Monster, I believe that art supplies are everywhere you look.
I try to keep a sense of humour in my work and also try to create an accessible narrative that can be interpreted in any way the viewer likes. I am very interested in literature and story based podcasts and I believe that it leaks into my work. The background in theatrical set and costume design also influences my work a lot.
