Half of this new house music duo was featured in DJ Mags ‘Top 100 DJs’, and they’ve just set up a radio show commissioned by Grant Nelson, on the D3ep network. If you haven’t heard of Trimtone yet, you soon will…
Long-time friends Marc Dennis and Tony Walker joined forces in 2012 after countless years of making house music under various successful guises. Walker’s name is synonymous with dance culture, having helped start the careers of Utah Saints and he toured the World at the globes best clubs as well as hosting national radio shows for over a decade, all this whilst launching one of the UK’s favourite house nights, ‘Love To Be….’, with Marc who’s pedigree is just as impressive with over 20 years on the scene playing around the globe for brands such as Space, Defected and Ministry of sound.
90s club culture is bigger than ever, so rather than neglect their past of partying in warehouse raves, they are embracing it in their productions, combining their knowledge of the classic house sound with something the ‘new era’ house fan appreciates.
under there Trimtone guise They have supported Pete Tong in 2014 at the O2 Arena, plus next year’s appearances include playing with Kerri Chandler, Todd Terry & Waff (plus a main room set at Love to be… History of House, a 7000 capacity event in March) & Patrick Topping in addition to playing at Es Vive & Pacha (Ibiza).
Their remix of A3 ‘Feel the Light’ got in the top 20 official dance charts last year, and they have been commissioned to remix Madison Avenue, Dave Seaman, Bob Sinclair and Ron Carroll. Their own productions have been signed to some of the best underground labels around the world (Pukka Up, Conkrete Digital, Redsoul, Mini Tree, One Foot in the Groove, Love to be…Records), regularly gaining support from the likes of Jonathan Ulysees, Jay C (Toolroom) and Grant Nelson. Recent remixes for house legend Ron Carroll and respected underground artist RedSoul have both steamrolled in to the Traxsource top 100.
Trimtone are set-up for next year with a new radio show commissioned by Grant Nelson for his www.d3ep.com station (every Saturday night 6 – 8PM) and the launch of their own label Trimtone Records. Trimtone are poised for big things in the in 2015 and beyond!
