We’re All Just Passing Through is a do-it-yourself band from Long Island, New York consisting of brother and sister Travis Johnides and Alexa Sakal. Their music, “folky acoustic pop songs that simply warm the heart,“ which is said to fall "somewhere between Jack Johnson and Conor Oberst," has thousands of album downloads accounted for. This may be due to their performance at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City, significant radio airplay, their music videos having been seen over 10,000 times on YouTube, or their coverage on television and in The New York Times. Or, its possibly due to being featured on the Nerdist podcast "Mike and Tom Eat Snacks," their song "Everybody Needs a Friend" being the original theme song for “The Mary and Melissa Show” on Blog Talk Radio, or the fact that they were included on a recent Paradiddle Records "Best of Long Island" CD. However, after seeing the band live, you realize the true reason why success has quickly found this band. Having started off as a solo project, Travis Johnides, former guitarist for Long Island punk band The Goodwill, took his experiences with The Goodwill, which consisted of releasing albums nationwide and touring with and opening for bands such as My Chemical Romance, Fallout Boy, AFI, The All-American Rejects, fellow Long Islanders Taking Back Sunday and Brand New, and more, and applied it to his songwriting and overall enthusiasm towards his new project. After joining him on stage for the first few shows, Travis asked his sister, a trained vocalist, to join the band, which officially made We’re All Just Passing Through a duo. We’re All Just Passing Through has internationally released 3 studio EP’s, a live EP, and an original Christmas single. For additional information, please visit: _Website not available.
