The journey into Electronic Dance Music didn’t start from birth for me. Growing up in a small southern town in North Carolina didn’t lend itself to many opportunities to experience the emerging dance music community of the eighties and early nineties. It wasn’t until, on a whim, a close friend and I found ourselves purchasing a DJ Dan live in San Francisco album, that just happened to catch our eye (probably due to its fluorescent green cover) in a local music shop that gave me my first glimpse of the world of EDM. From the moment DJ Dan’s set started I was so enthralled by the music and so inquisitive as to how it was being played. I had grown-up playing guitar and performing in various school bands but I had never heard anything like this. Shortly after this I purchased my first set of 1200’s, knowing very little about the art of DJ’ing except for what I had seen at clubs and parties. I set out to teach myself how to DJ. Much of my style centered around viewing and studying DJ’s such as DJ Dan, Bad Boy Bill, Donald Glaude, DJ Odi, Andy C and Terry Mullen; just to name a few. As it happens all to often, I was one of the many that got wrapped into the negatives of the EDM scene and completely lost my way, forgetting about the music that had attracted me in the first place. Thankfully with age and maturity I found my way back and realized just how much I love dance music. In 2010, I started DJ’ing again while living in Newcastle, England and in 2011 I started the journey towards music production. I primarily specialize in electro house and funky house, but my sets can span from deep and tech house to breaks and dubstep. The aim of my music is take you on a journey, playing on the strings of your soul; touching on the basic human emotions that bind us all together and ultimately just making you want to move. Life really is better with music, so follow the beat of your heart. Booking Info: _Phone details not available. Sign in: https://www.twine.net/signup_ _Email not available.
