Spotlight: Eternall

Eternall is a 21-years-old Russian IT student and musician in his free time. Music is his hobby, which he began 6 years ago. He has worked under the alias of ‘Eternall’ for the last couple years, which has become a very important part of his life. It gives him serenity and access to deep emotional states. He seeks to express this in both his music and his life. For him, the best possible life is one where he constantly lives in the moment and art helps him to achieve this.

To start with, his music was influenced by many different styles: from electronic and dubstep to neurofunk, hardcore, and trance. More recently he has focused on atmospheric styles: intelligent, future garage, chillspep and most recently ambient. Ambient music has now become his main focus. His main influences now are bvdub, asc, jan amit and the wonderful owsey. He finds their music is filled with deep emotions and loveBrock Van Wey (bvdub)’s music has been particularly important to him, as it has carried him through some difficult periods in his life and has been the source of many of his musical ideas.

Joe Scarffe

Joe is the Community and Marketing Manager and is currently finishing up a PhD in music at Birmingham Conservatoire and still hasn’t got over his addiction to coffee. He loves getting involved in crazy music projects and plays the bassoon, oboe, piano, recorder and guitar. He also makes lots of electronic music and loves collaborating. He sings too if you ask nicely and once shamefully sang as a backing singer for Will Young. When he’s not moaning about the state of the music industry or public transport in Manchester, he works with the Twine community and handles social media, the blog and partnerships with companies and institutions.
