Flyme Productions: In his own words

My name is Spencer David (AKA Flyme Productions) and I am originally from New Hampshire. I’m 23 and will be graduating from the University of Richmond this December with a degree in finance and economics. I was never interested in music really at all until I had some free time studying abroad in Denmark during my junior year of college.

My buddy was working at the Apple Store at the time and he hooked me up with a free version of Logic to start messing around making beats. I’ve spent the last two years now making beats whenever I have some random downtime. It’s been pretty difficult trying to take my music to the next level with no prior experience or education in music, but I’ve been having a blast learning as I go along. As of now, I make beats basically totally on Maschine and do all of my mixing and mastering on their software as well. In terms of my influences, they are definitely wide ranging. I love everything from old school sampled stuff to new school heavy trap music. Whatever I’m listening to / working on at the time is what I like and listen to most.

I’m certainly at a crossroads right now in my life where I will be leaving school and starting a career somewhere. Whether that career will pertain to music or not I have no idea, but I’m definitely looking forward to figuring it all out.
