Spotlight: Sunbathers

Sunbathers are an Indie / Rock / Alt Pop band from Baltimore, Maryland, made up of Sean Lynott (vocals, synth, guitar), Tim Boate (guitar), Peter Mindnich (guitar and vocals), Sean Oliver (bass) and Shohsei Oda (drums).

The band formed in the H Street neighborhood of Washington, D.C. in 2013. Their style is a mixture of alternative rock, indie, R&B, dance and electronica, influenced by bands including My Morning Jacket, Radiohead, and Phoenix. The bright, clean guitar, soft vocals and tight, punchy drums gives them a summery, heartwarming sound that will make you want to return for more. Their tracks are played regularly in the office!

In November of 2015, Sunbathers released their self-titled debut EP, which is available on Clowdy, and many other digital platforms. They are currently working on the pre-production for a new single, which they hope to release in the next month or two, so make sure you look out for that!

Joe is the Community and Marketing Manager and is currently finishing up a PhD in music at Birmingham Conservatoire and still hasn’t got over his addiction to coffee. He loves getting involved in crazy music projects and plays the bassoon, oboe, piano, recorder and guitar. He also makes lots of electronic music and loves collaborating. He sings too if you ask nicely and once shamefully sang as a backing singer for Will Young. When he’s not moaning about the state of the music industry or public transport in Manchester, he works with the Twine community and handles social media, the blog and partnerships with companies and institutions.
