Tom Majerski is the virtual embodiment of what Clowdy is about. Bringing together audio, video and imagery in its many art forms. Tom specialises in cinematography, photography and post production work in filmmaking in areas such as CGI. He also has a keen ear for great musical scores with projects like Ultramoth and Attacus Atlas.
Let’s start with his photography. In an age full of filtered coffee cups it’s hard to find and be inspired by great photography work out there today. Tom’s stunning visuals evoke something to us. The reason his work sticks out is down to multiple reasons. Great locations, mood reflecting colour and a focus that either gives elegance or intimacy to the subject, or opens up to an exciting larger atmosphere from afar. All shot from a powerful lens they achieve what any good photographer should. A compelling snapshot for someone to explore and be a part of. Here’s an example of one of our favourite shots:
Another interesting element to Tom Majerski is his conceptual music. Both his 24 minute Ultramoth project and the trip-hop work from his creation, Attacus Atlas. All his musical compositions have originality and fascinating sound. Ultramoth for example isn’t just a drawn out beat with a few chord changes. In fact you’ll rarely find 2 minutes that give off the same vibe in one go. Plenty of inspiration and experimenting went into it and you’ll actually find yourself easily lost in the score for the entire 24 minutes.
A final word goes towards his filmmaking. And more specifically his short film ‘Tenure‘. Tenure tells the story of solitary patriot Anthony Tarr, who has dedicated his whole life to protecting his queen and country. He works comfortably from home, earns a generous wage and sleeps comfortably at night knowing he is keeping his country safe. However, retirement beckons and it is time to fulfill one last duty. Tenure is shot perfectly and manages to provide the sense of both isolation and pride that Anthony Tarr lives with. Have a watch for yourself below:
