Tyranix (AKA Michael Ricky) is a music producer from Indonesia who’s collaboration with Indian producer SYNTHAX is one of this week’s staff picks. In this interview he talks about his collaborations and shares tips for meeting other creatives on Twine.
What is your background and influences?
Growing up I really enjoyed listening to dance music and finally now here I am, making dance music! I’m influenced by artists like Hardwell, KSHMR, Martin Garrix, and many more I got my stage name from a movie’s antagonist and then slightly edited it. Tyrant + Nix = Tyranix!
Who have you worked with on Twine (and what projects you’ve worked on)?
Joining Twine has given me access to a whole new world, where I can constantly find loads of new people who like to collaborate! I have worked with several people on Twine but SYNTHAX is my main collaborator. I made such a great track with him, and I couldn’t believe it’s on Twine’s Staff Picks! Lately, I’ve been working with some great talents I found on Twine, so you’ll be hearing more soon so stay tuned!
What’s your advice for finding people to work with on Twine?
Well, first thing you might wanna do is to complete your profile. First impression always matter. Then, you should get active! Think about finding creatives in Twine like finding a job. It’s hard when you don’t do it seriously, but your passion and your patience. Be patient as a starting creative because it requires some effort until you properly build your network.
