Hello! My name is Emily and I am a recent Shepherd University graduate with a BFA in Graphic Design. Until recently, I worked as the graphic designer for the 40th volume of Shepherd’s literary and art magazine, Sans Merci. The Sans Merci job required both promotional materials and the magazine itself. While working with the creative staff of Sans Merci, I also got first-hand experience working directly with a printing company. As a new designer, this was the first time I got to fully experience what it is like work in an editorial design position and was genuinely one of those rewarding experiences of my college career. Aside from Sans Merci, I currently work part-time at Bath and Body Works in Winchester, VA while also continuously open for freelance opportunities. My university colleagues recognize me as a highly motivated and imaginative designer. I pride myself on quickly formulating design solutions and effectively utilizing my time. I work well alone but also have proved to work well collaborating with others through leading a design team while in school. In the field, I have a passion for building relationships, both professional and casual, with fellow designers. I love to listen and strive to help my coworkers. Outside the field, in my spare time, I adore hiking and putting together costumes for cosplay conventions. My newest hobby is to teach myself to longboard. I am freelancing in Winchester, VA and the tri-state area while I seek a new, full-time design position. I can be reached via this profile, by email at _Email not available.
