My art is inspired by music, food, people from all walks of life, and nature. Although children's book illustration has been my focus, I also love pattern design, creating picture books for adults, and fine art. My illustrations are semi digital. They begin as traditional watercolor and pencil pieces that are scanned and colored in Photoshop. I've had the pleasure of working with amazing clients during the 13 years of my artistic career including HarperCollins, Chronicle, Heinemann, Flashlight Press, Kane Press, and several indie publishers.

About illustrators

An illustrator is a visual artist who creates drawings and illustrations for use in advertisements, books, magazines, packaging, greetings cards, clothing design and newspapers. The possibilities for your business are endless - illustrations are the perfect finishing touch to your graphic design, while illustrated infographics are proven to be far more engaging than plain text. Plus, illustration has the benefit that the only thing limiting you is your imagination - if you want a dragon you can have a dragon.

The types of work illustrators are hired for is extremely varied. Illustrators are hired for projects ranging from editorial, fashion, storyboard, technical and book illustration. Although illustrators are flexible in the kinds of projects they take on, they usually specialise in a particular style. These include traditional styles like pencils, pens, watercolour and pastels, as well as digital art made using software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Often, a project might require both, with sketches first drawn up by hand and colouring then completed digitally.

On Twine, you'll find talented professional illustrators with a wide variety of experience in a range of industries and mediums. So whether you want a sketch for your next fashion collection or a cover for your new novel, you can find illustrators to make it happen on Twine.
