Captain E
PRO
Lagos, Somolu, Nigeria

Music Producer ● Sound Analyst ● Sound Engineer ● #ThisIsYourCaptainSpeaking Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. Captain E is the first son of award winning actress and one of Times 100 most influential people in the world "Omotola Jalade Ekeinde". Captain E comes from an entertainment background with his mother being an actress and his father "Capt. Matthew Ekeinde" an airplane pilot and founder of the first ever aviation theme park in Africa. Captain E mixes Afro Pop, EDM, House, Ragga and other genres to create a unique style and sound that appeals to both the young and old generation. Captain E found his love for music in 2007,when he was learning how to play the piano at the age of 14. Discovering his love for music production while listening to some Afro Pop tracks back in 2011, he started making beats and remixing popular tracks in his school dormitory, showing them to his family and friends. Things loosened up a year later when he met Enibeats to teach him on how to produce music, for 6 months Captain E understudied Enibeats, he then put his new found skills to the test. Unfortunately it was not enough, though Captain E was now a beat maker, he knew nothing about recording an artist let alone mixing and mastering a track. In 2014, Captain E was invited to the International Music Conference (IMC), Atlanta, Georgia. Despite being the youngest contestant, Captain E won third best producer. He met other music producers in the completion from all over the world. Among the mentors and judges were Jon Jon Traxx and Debra Antney. Early 2015, Captain E released two songs of his forthcoming EP “What Is The Matter” featuring Verchi and Nasiru which was co-produced by NOIZ and “Jekowale” by Verchi featuring Seyi Shay co-produced by Enibeats. His EP is set to be released mid 2016.
