Joshua Paul (b. 1986) is a Malaysian independent visual journalist; specialising in documentary and EFP (electronic field production) camerawork with an interest in social issues, international and local conflicts, and refugee migration.
In 2014, Joshua joined the international news agency Associated Press (AP) as a photojournalist, covering major events like Malaysian Airline MH370 and MH17 tragedies. He also focused on daily news pieces, documentaries and feature stories.
His work has been published by international news agencies around the world including TIME, New York Times, International New York Times, The Guardian, Washington Post and The Telegraph to name a few.
Currently, he is working as a freelance cameraman for Al Jazeera, Malaysia, photographer and videographer for Bloomberg and video journalist for The Associated Press.
In his free time, Joshua rescues and rehabilitates stray dogs and also teaches photography to underprivileged children.
